The General Services Administration Tuesday awarded more than $2 billion worth of contracts for air travel under the City Pairs program. The contracts cover more than 4,300 domestic routes, plus nearly 1,200 international ones. That’s a 10 percent increase from last year’s offerings.

The five died when their single- engine airplane crashed at an airport in Santa Rosa, N.M., killing everyone onboard.Killed were Ules Pitts Jr., 42; Marian Pitts, 41; Jessica Pitts, 18; Jennifer Pitts, 16; and Jeremy Pitts, 13. They were traveling to Chicago to visit family, Ules Pitts Sr., 65, said Monday.
